Welcome to Kings Mountain

Nestled in a grove of Redwood trees off a road that meanders through a lush forest, Kings Mountain Elementary feels far away from the bustle of nearby cities. The K-5 school can serve approximately 70 students. The small size creates a partnership between students, staff and parents that fosters social emotional health along with academic success. Every student is known and noticed, not just by their own teacher, but by every adult on campus.

Working together comes naturally to students and staff at Kings Mountain. Students are blended in multi-grade classrooms, and support each other’s learning in the classroom. Friendships form between younger and older students. Students share important events in their lives with classmates and teachers, who celebrate and provide support. Teachers model collaboration in everything from planning lessons to resolving conflicts.
